Frequently Asked Questions

Sessions & Booking

Who do you work with?

While I am not a registered Family Therapist, I do facilitate small group or family appointments where it is therapeutically appropriate and with the informed consent of all parties involved. These sessions aim to support communication, emotional understanding, and shared goals — not to provide formal family therapy

I tend to work a lot with couples and those who find it difficult to reach out in the first place. Police, CFA, Medico’s and Trades professionals.

How do I book a session?

Complete the online booking form, sharing your preferred days and times. I’ll reply within 48 hours to propose session slots. Each session is 60 minutes, which is usually 50 mins with 10 minutes allowed for notes. (90 minutes and above may be available if an extended session is requested). Couples and small group appointments are 90 minutes as standard, with 10 minutes allowed for notes

Do you offer a trial or introductory session?

A free 15 minute introductory conversation is available to help you decide if we’re a good fit. If I am unable to help I will make suggestions of other counsellors or psychologists from my professional network.

What are your fees and do you offer concessions?

Standard fees apply for single, couples, or small group facilitation. If budget is a concern, please mention this on your booking form—I’m happy to discuss sliding‑scale arrangements.

Pricing & Payment

Which payment methods do you accept?

We accept credit/debit cards (via secure online payment), bank transfers, and Health Fund rebates where applicable. A receipt can be provided for eligible services.

Telehealth & Online Sessions

What do I need for an online session?

A private, quiet space with stable internet; Zoom access is required. A working camera is preferred (but optional). Please test your equipment beforehand to ensure distractions are minimized.

Whilst a stationary vehicle is a completely acceptable place to conduct our session, a moving vehicle is not and we will need to cancel or reschedule.

How long in advance should I book?

I recommend booking at least one week in advance, especially if you’d like evening or weekend sessions. I am usually able to confirm availability within 48 hours.
